Good Day, dez;
Try this to start:
This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. MAY BE INTERMITTENT, SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB. Good Luck, big IRISH.

I have a Phillips pfl5522 32 inch flat screen tv, which i bought 2 months ago. My problem is with the sound. I keep getting a buzzing sound through the tv, when certain sounds are stressed. I hope this...

It looks like a defective component on the mainboard. I guess the TV would still be under warranty. Best bet is to take it back to the store and get it replaced, because if you open up the TV, you may void the manufacturer's warranty.
Hope that helps!

I have an lcd tv.The picture is fine but i have a line about a pixal thick running down the screen just off centre on the left hand side

Looks like you may have to replace the convergence IC's. There are two of them. I recommend getting both replaced at the same time. It could also be some busted capacitors/resistors. In any case, If your TV is under warranty, I suggest you get it replaced. If not, then consult a qualified pro to take a look at this for you..
Hope that helps!

I have a 37 inch philips plasma tv and it will not come on and there is a red flashing light on the front on the power botton

There are several things that can cause it. You are best to have an expert technician come in and take some test on it in order to determine if it is from vertical blanking failure or something else. It is not easy to fix this yourself, if you have no experience, because there are a lot of parts that have to be removed before you can reach the components. It could be as simple as a loose connector ribbon or a bust capacitor, but it could also be more complicated. Hence, in my honest opinion, better get a qualified technician.

Hope that helps!

Panasonic PT-47WX53 does not turn on

Yes, I did try to use the power button on the TV itself. That did not work too. Yes, there is blinking red light too. I searched through several sights and found out that it is an issue with the IC 4511. I could not find a place to buy the chip.

By the way, our local TV dealer asked for $400 to fix this issue. I had already spent $400 on a different repair on this TV, 6 months ago.

Any suggestion/advice would be very helpful. Thank you again for your response.

TV has a mind of its own

The front panel buttons are your trouble,you can disconnect these,first unplug the unit and remove the back cover,just below the top screws you can look under and see the top of the pictures tubes,in front of the middle tube is a small board,unplug the top right cable,this will disconnect the front buttons and you can use your remote to control the set,hope this helps
