Question about Samsung CLX 3160fn All-In-One Printer
I cannot set up an email address through the SyncThru service for a Bigpond account. I have a host name SMTP of mail.bigpond.com and Port 25 and everytime I place my login name as firstname.lastname@example.org I get the following error message
Some Errors were reported. :
SMTP Server Login
POP Server User Name
If I take out the @bigpond.com it saves it but I have a POP3 error on the printer and the email is not sent. Does anyone know a way around this?
You must enter a DNS server on the "Network Settings > TCP / IP" page. If you're unsure of it, try copying your default gateway.

when I setup the SMTP server as an IP adress the e-mails are sent correctly. I looked up manually the IP adress of my SMTP server. This is only a temporary solution. In this case you naturally have to choose the IP adress option in the settings.
However when I setup the SMTP server as a hostname (ex. smtp.telenet.com) and I chose the option Host Name, it does not work.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
