this is may be usb cable problem but you follow this steps to get solved Go to printer and faxes option and choose the printer model which you installed just right click on it you will see the option of use printer online. Also I suggest you to change the usb port and the cable also still if you facing the problem follow these steps, right click on my computer and go to properties then hardware in that click on device manger and check there is any other device is listed if it is there just remove it and click for scan for hardware changes when he prompt for driver reinstall the driver cd.
When this happen it is usually the USB cable. When this happen it is usually a problem with the USB cable. If communication on USB cable is bad, as a result you can print but not scan.Having also messed up a bit with the drivers ("HP digital monitoring icon anymore"), you may also need to reinstall the driver. My suggestion on how to proceed is the following. Buy a better usb cable, the shilded ones cost a couple of dollars more but guarantee better communication. Unplug printer from usb. Unplug computer and printer from power for two minutes. Plug back computer and printer to power, DO NOT plug in USB cable yet, leave printer NOT connected to pc. Reinstall drivers and software, keep printer disconnected until connection is explicitely required by printer software installation process, or after installing. Connect printer when required. Check that there is no electric device (power adapters, extension etc.) very near to printer USB cable, they can cause electromagnetic disturbance. Try scanning. If it does not work at thhis point is either a problem with windows (new windows install required) or a faulty scanner.
Make sure you install the driver properly and check the test print also .still if u fail check all this setting and follow this steps,1st you install the driver disc which is come along with the printer and when the software prompt you to connect the cable then plug the usb cable and follow the instruction. Go to printer and faxes option and choose the printer model which you installed just right click on it you will see the option of use printer online. Also I suggest you to change the usb port and the cable also still if you facing the problem follow these steps, right click on my computer and go to properties then hardware in that click on device manger and check there is any other device is listed if it is there just remove it and click for scan for hardware changes when he prompt for driver reinstall the driver cd
Hi, installing a new USB printer is not always that easy.
If you have the installation CD, try to follow the on screen instructions carefully. If i'm correct you should install the drivers from the CD before plugging your USB cable and only connect it when asked.
If your problem is different, let me know
Make sure all drivers are removed if they were installed. Unplug the printer from your computer. Download and install the software from the link below. Follow instructions from software on when to plug your printer back in. Hopefully this will be all you need. Please don't forget to rate!
Please let me know if you have Windows Vista on the new computer and you are putting the Installation Cd to install the printer on the computer.
Please check if Windows Vista written on the CD. If not no problem. Plug the usb cable to the computer and connect printer. Wait while you get the message that the device is ready to use.
Now try printing abd it will work fine.
If it is still not getting installed.....Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall the drivers for the Printer "Deskjets and Officejet" or anything like that. Then try installing. The issue will be resolved.
This issue occurs when the drivers are not installed properly.
Once remove the USB cable from the laptop and insert the all-in-one CD and click on add a device and follow the on screen instructions and connect the USB cable when it prompts at the middle and complete the process. Then restart the computer and then check for the result.
