Power Supply Dead on Zenith P42W22H - where to order???
My Zenith Plamsa EDTV P42W22H has a dead power supply. Does anyone know how to order one? Is it something I can do myself? The shop said it was going to cost about $650. I don't even know if the TV is worth that much. What about salvage value?

The power supply is easy to change...i have many of the displays. Just remove the back cover...you'll see the power supply it has 2 screws holding it on and a couple wires...I'm not sure where to get a new one... You could try ebay.

Zenith Flat panel TVs usually only have two boards in them Plasmas have a few more, doing a
visual inspection of the power supply capacitors usually reveals swollen
or bulging capacitors.
If the capacitors look good, voltage checks would be needed to isolate
the problem to either the main board or power supply. Check for 5 volts
to the IR board (& or keyboard) , if five volts is present suspect
the main board If this TV has voltages from power supply , suspect the Z, X and buffers

That flashing light is either a failure of the power supply and or one of the drive boards (Y-Sustain, Y-Drives, Z-Sustain) to display the image.
The main board is seeing a problem and that is why the green light is flashing. You may have heard of "POP" sound before your TV started this issue.
Looking through the back cover of your TV and seeing the power supply, if the large capacitors’ tops are swollen or split, then you will know that is a source of your problem(s).
Beyond just looking at the power supply, to correctly trouble shoot your issue would require some TV repair tools and a little knowledge of electronics.
Your Zenith/LG TV was made around 2007.
