My acer aspire one desktop does not display the menu

Hello there;

have you tried alt+f10 key to get the ACER restore menu? let me know what you have tried? thank you.

VIRUS. a big bad one. Try the restore discs or a bootable USB. you made a bootable restore right? RIGHT?

To get to the boot menu, you have to press F12, or F8 when you first turn on your computer. If your OS starts loading, you've gone too far and must start over again.

Right click on desktop and click on properties/personalize in pop up menu. here you can change your wallpaper using display tab.

it might be your hard drive, if the bios screen still comes up

Get an update for your video card's driver.

buttons on front of monitor may fix or display in control panel. if you can get on acer site go there for help. sounds like button may be stuck on monitor.

Press and hold Windows Logo Key + Press the "E" key

Type Control Panel

From here you can address your Display and Taskbar issues.

For the task bar:
Click on Taskbar and Start Menu Properties
Uncheck Lock the taskbar, Auto-Hide the task bar, and then click apply and ok

For the desktop icons:
Click Display
Click the Desktop Tab
Click the "Customize Desktop" Button

There you can place a check next to the icons you wish to show.
