Question about Sony KP-51WS510 51" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Kp-fw51m31 service menu codes

I accidentally did an INITIAL instead of a WRITE and this caused a few issues, luckily had enough values written down/memorised to get the picture back, however some of the buttons on the front panel don't work as they are supposed to eg MENU pb is now QUICK FOCUS etc. The 51m31 is the Australian model, which "looks like" the 51ws510. I was wondering were I could get the adjustment manual or a list of the service menu codes with normal operation parameters.

thanks
joe

Initial value contains and invalid value & the standard value is set (Entry = Double side) (Code S310011)

Hello Peggy,

This error message is Twain Driver error. The cause is that a value outside the range or an invalid character was found among the items in the initial value data file. (Item XXXXX indicated by Entry=XXXXX)
If the file was intentionally changed, the value set for that item may be incorrect. If the file was not intentionally changed, the file may be corrupt. The value has been set to the standard value. The file must be written again, for assistance, please see "Initial Value File" in the "Operator's Guide".

A hard disk check (chkdsk or scandisk) and virus check must be performed regularly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks & regards,

Blue on the screen of the tv

Try to initialize it!

I had whole redish/pinkish screen on my 50v500 starting a few days ago, then I read through each of the threads on this site for the samilar problems on my model. I found TVtechmaniac's solution (pasted below) solved my problem. Thank you TVtechmaniac!

Enter the I2C Service Menu, be sure the power is OFF.
1. On the front control panel, press and hold the INPUT button.
2. Then press the POWER button for two seconds.
3. You may keep the INPUT button depressed until you see the OSD with the Service Menu displayed.
4. If you don't see the service menu, please repeat Process making sure you wait until the Power blinking LED stops.
5. Execute the Memory Initialize operation after the adjustment values have been written on a sheet of paper. Highlight "MEMORY INTI", arrow to the right and hold the button to the right (approx 5 sec.) until a check mark appears in the box. This activates the Memory Initialization.
6. After the Memory initialize operation has finished (10~15 sec, the channel will revert to CH 3.) the pink image symptom should be fixed.
7. Write back the adjustment values from your notes to their respective adjustment parameters in the adjustment mode. (In other words, set the Data Values back to the the Data values written down before the Memory Initialization procedure). NOTE: Make sure the SELECT Button is pressed on remote after every change to the values. Failure to do so will result in the data values not being changed.
8. Exit I2C menu. Press exit repeatedly until you go back to the normal picture.
9. Turn the set off-on and Confirm the picture remains in a good condition.
BE SURE TO COPY DOWN DATA SETTINGS BEFORE INITIALIZING I2C SETTINGS

Code d ereur 034310

HI, This will usually be the cause of a server issue that relates to the mtu values that are set in your device. Try changing your mtu value to 576 in the connection settings/advanced section. The initial setting of 1400 my be invalid at this time, thus, interrupting your update service download.

Simply navigate into System settings>internet>Connection settings>Connection x>Change settings, then press right arrow till u get to the MTU Value. The default is 1400 but you will need to change it to 576. This should open the gate and allow the system to update itself, properly.

Error Code: 034310

((Cannot connect to the system update server)).

Sony wega kp51 turns on for 3 secs than off w/ blinking red light

The flashes are fault codes. It means your system is faulty. If it is intermittent then it is more than likely a dust issue. Buy an air duster, spray out the back and restart. Should be fine

If it continues to play up then it will be a repair job
