Question about iLO 2600 Television

1 Answer

Green Glow I bought a 27" tv about 4 months ago, model # DTV2794A. I've been pretty happy with it. It had developed a "green glow" in the upper right portion of the screen. I thought it may be the electronic equipment close to it. I moved the cable box and DVD player away from it. It still has that green glow that won't go away. Sometimes it looks like a "burn" spot. It is VERY annoying. Can someone help me with that??? Thanks a million.

I have the same problem with a green glow threw out the picture. There no m antic around and I don't know what the CRT is. That why I was looking for a manual to. I misplace mine.
I do have DVR below it and DVD below that. If I move anything I will have cable all over the place.

Suggest that the CRT Purity has gone off

Check that there is nothing magnetic near the set

The CRT may need to be degaussed

Or the degauss circuite is faulty this would require a engineer to look at

Do you have any filter or lens protection on? is there any plastic film like those that come with new phone to protect the glass? if so that could be the reason.

I think better to replace the set as all this sounds like a light engine failing.

I have an InFocus SP5000 projector that has started showing a green glow in mid-screen (center). Before I buy a $300 lamp want to know the cause of the green glow.

either the light filter behind the blue lcd panel or the fly-eye lens (both inside the optical engine) have developed a burn spot from overheating. infocus doesn't sell individual parts for the optical engine, and the whole thing must be replaced. but unfortunately, it's the most expensive part of the projector, usually upwards of $2000 (and there's none in stock).

2004 diesel hard to start when cold

It sounds more like the glow plugs, the older models had trouble out of the module, but the 6.0 is pretty safe from all those problems. And don't forget to use the correct fuel additive for diesel engines, it helps .

54" Projection TV

Your green gun in our tv is misagligned/out of focus. Your tv uses red, green and blue guns that layer in different shades and mix to create the different colors. Your green is a little off so the colors aren't mixing right which explains the green haze and the shadows. A tv repair man can fix this problem pretty easily and it isnt expenisve.

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

You really need to be persistent. I went on the Panasonic customer support webseite and started a web exchange. The first two attempts ended with "call your local authorized service tech" , etc. The third time, I described the prolem again and asked if the authorized tech would have the tool to fix the eprom if that was the cause of the problem. They finally gave me a name for their scheduling department and said they would pay for the diagnosis. I was pretty happy about that, but even happier when they said that this was a known problem and they would pay for the repair as well. They scheduled a service call. The techs came and fixed the eprom error with their tool within 1/2 hour. That was about 5 weeks ago, and all looks good so far.

Convergence issues...green glow around objects on the screen

a green glow sounds more like a coolant issue more than convergence. Is your TV a phillips or magnavox by any chance? Please reply to this same post and let me know your model number.

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

Tiny particles of dust on the light engine lens can cause this (and was a service call for me about a month ago), or possibly the expensive light engine.

Technician just replaced the upper right (from the back) circuit board that conects to the panel. TV now works fine. I bought the display model 8 months ago with extended Circuit City Warranty for $1000 so I can't complain. This was covered entirly by LG/Zenith (nicest Cust. Svc. ever) so we'll wait and see what happens.
