Supertype wheel alignment error and how to fix it

I took the printwheel out of my Adler/Royal Typewriter to see what the print type showed on it. When I went to reinstall it, it wouldn't line up. The wheel has no arrows on it to tell me if I put it in correctly. I tried holding the code button down and turned on the power, but that didn't correct the problem. I do not have a manuel as I got the machine second hand. Can you help me with this?

When I push the letters, wrong characters are showing up.

This is a daisy wheel typewriter. Either:
1. The daisywheel is for a different model.
2. The daisywheel is inserted incorrectly, IE upside-down, or if it is in a cartridge the wheel is in the wrong position when the cartridge is inserted. It might have had a little stop in it to prevent this that has worn out. You might be able to move it around to the right position by aligning that stop before inserting the cartridge.
3. If you can still buy those daisywheels, get a new one... maybe Ebay.

Key and wheel problem

CheckThe pitch slide switch, it should be in 10, 12, or 15 if it is in PS this will do this. If it isn't in PS push down on it & slide it up and down a few times they do fet dirty.

Olympia supertype 330 types wrong characters

check the pitch setting to make sure that it matches the printwheel. It is the switch that is marked 10, 12, 15, PS. PS is proportional spacing and will only type correctly with a PS wheel. The number settings are for PICA ELITE and MICRO.. 10, 12 and 15. The numbers are characters per the larger the number, the smaller the character.. it is the opposite of FONT SIZE.

Check the pitch selection, make sure it is set for 10 or 12, Also check that it is set for English. I am not sure that it is adjustable on this model or how, But some models can be set to Spanish, Which will cause this problem ... Lastly, Check that the print wheel is properly seated to the hub on the printer.....
