Question about HP Compaq FP 7317 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
I had the same thing happen with a new monitor. It was there about 4 days when I discovered that a window had been shrunk down the height of the monitor leaving a blue line.

Its a separation of the connections between the drivers and the lcd panel.
its a fancy glue that only techs know how to get.
and even that may not fix it.
it may be a failure of the driver itself.
A well placed bang may fix it temporally.
only way to tell is to get a replacement screen.
I would just sell it on ebay you might be surprise how much it fetches.
