I did a google search using, "Radio Shack TAD 3822 Digital Answering System manual" and found a pdf for a one page quick start manual

Try going to google.com and entering the brand, model number and 'manual', such as 'uniden EXAi5580 manual'. This should general a couple hits and just browse them until you find what you need.
Next, just look for the manufacturer website and look for the manuals there. Typically you'd find them under the 'support' sections of the site.
