Sounds like the BIOS needs to be set back to the factory default. An IRQ issue on a Laptop really shouldn't happen. If that fails, the solution lays with the BIOS... it controls resources. You could go in an disable some of the On Board features to determind which Device is failing and causing the Blue Screen. Also if you added Memory after you bought it... take it out... that could be it as well...
Blue screens mean that there is a hardware issue. Disconnect all peripherals (usb, printers, etc) and try the install again. If you get another Blue screen, then there is an internal hardware error that would need to be addressed by a service technician. You can try re-seating all of the conponents (RAM, HD, etc) but this rarely helps.

I am trying to Vista Premium Home back in it. The blue screen comes up with the IRQ problem.
I don't get a IRQ number. What I get is a blue screen that says "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". It is telling me to stop the caching or shadowing from the memory but I don't have that option in the BIOS.
Blue Screen as you know is a Video, Memory or CPU Crash. XP may cause this if it doesnt have the right drivers. What OS are you installing ?
