My MAG Innovision Monitor LT1919WDb goes blank. One day i was on the computer and the monitor flickered and went blank. I turned it off and on again. It came back but within a few minutes went black again. Now it will only stay on for seconds and go black. It worked fine for almost a year.

-   I bought my Mag Innovision LT 1919 about 16 months ago and this morning it came on, lasted 15 seconds then went to black. If I hit the power button off and on it will come on but only last for about 7-10 seconds and goes off again. What is happening? Is MAG a bad company? Should I avoid Mag monitors and all other products in the future?

-   My monitor does the exact same thing. Comes on for a second or two, say no source, then goes black. Nothing can get it back unless you hit the power button again. No menu, etc.

I had the same problem. I contact the manufactuer and they refused to fix it. They said it would cost an additional $100 to have it fixed. I have not even had it a year. I thought products sold in America were suppose to last longer than a year? What has happened to companies standing behind there products. Beware of this monitor!!! DO NOT BUY IT!!! LT1919WDB

When a monitor works for a few seconds or more and goes black it is a problem with the power inverter board over heating because of a bad capacitor or capacitors that are not the right size. There is no problem with the VGA controller since it shows video for a few seconds. I have fixed a lot of Mag LCD monitors with changing just two small capacitors for $0.50 a piece and some of my time to solder them in. Less time as i have gotten better. You can buy the capacitors on Mouser Electronics Online. Just make sure they are the right size and dimensions. I have one of these monitors on my table now and have not determined the exact capacitor that is the issue. I have change five out and it is still doing the same. Four more to go. None of the capacitors looked bad, thus the prcess takes longer. Good Luck

- I miss stated which boards on the first solution. The VGA Controller Board is over heating and going out and the power inverter board is fine. Some new caps on the VGA contoller board should fix it. WHen I determine which ones are the issue I will add another comment. Sorry about the mix up.

I have the same problem. This isnt really a solution, but I turned my monitor off, then held the power key to turn on for about 10 seconds, and it has been working fine. It has only been on for a few minutes, and it is more than likely a temp fix until you can get it repaired or a new one.

Screens going dark are in most cases the result of burned out components on the power board or inverter board.
Some parts on these boards have life expectancies like light bulbs do.
Some of these are repairable. I've done several MAG innovison models, But not this model yet.

10 months old...same scenario...goes black within seconds. Best Buy employee said he had the same problem and threw his away....I paid $300.00 for this and this is not acceptable.

I also have the same monitor. It was working fine and then last week went completely black. It doesn't come back on and off, just stays black. Someone suggesting it may be the power cord which I have yet to try and replace to see if that is the problem.

I have the same MAG Innovision LT1919WDb monitor. it worked fine for 6 - 8 months. Now, the screen will go black, anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes. The blue power button stays illuminated. Powering off and back gets the display back, but then it goes black again at random intervals. I'm about to throw mine in the trash. I guess I got what I paid for.
