Make sure the Lamp is seated correctly and firmly and the microswitch on the lamp door closes. Some projectors require a button sequence to be held down whilst powering up the projector in order to reset the lamp counter and restart it. You could also try the old lamp back in it for a few minutes to see if it starts up using the old lamp, providing it hasn't shattered.
Good Luck

the power supply needs to be replaced. if you're good at soldering, there is a capacitor that dries up quickly on the ps board. i believe it's c2.

THE LAMP LIFE IS LESS THAN 250 HOURS. IT IS NOWHERE NEAR 1500 HOURS

if you get no light, clean out the projector of dust with canned air. overheating from excessive dust blows lamp quickly. now replace the lamp. if still no light, replace the ballast.

Toshiba TDP SC25 projector

The manual says it might be because the power went out when it was on. Just a note here, as projectors age they become more sensitive to power outages. When not in use turn off completely if you can. They have an on/off button.

Otherwise not sure but think you may need to replace the fan. Try cleaning it first but gently.

Same problem as below.

I have the same projector, and had the SAME problem.
After unplugging and taking on a trip it didn't work...it just lit up for 2 secs, and then shut off....

LEAVE it plugged in for as long as it takes for the light to stop blinking, and then it should start up on its own, or if you press the on/standby buton.
Be patient, hope this works for you too!

I have this same problem with no indication of what is wrong with the projector. I have checked the bulb and see no lines (veins) or bubbles on it.

Toshiba tdp-mt800

Hi there

Have you tried using another input like the Component instead of the DVI. See if it makes any difference.

If not it could be the DMD or your Mainboard.

Most of the time it is the Mainboard - Home Theatre Projectors come out with awesome DMD's , so I doubt it to be the problem.

Hope this is usefull !
