Graphics problem...

posted by Jompa on Jan 30, 2008

Hi, I've been using a Radeon 9250 for some time now. And yesterday, when l was logging into WoW, everything was all f-ed up. Every detail in the game was gone, looked like someone had hacked the game, deleted all the details and effects, and just put one single color on every single thing on the screen. I've tried to re-install the drivers, nothing happend. Restored my computer to an earlier date, nothing happend, tried to change the video options inside WoW, nothing happend. Updated to latest drivers from ATI, nothing happend. Tried to solve it by shutting my computer off for about 2 hours, then start it up again, nothing happend. Tried to reset all the settings for the graphics card to default, and guess what? NOTHING HAPPEND! =@
As far as I can see now, my only option is to format my computer once again, but I wanna know if there's anything more I can do to solve this.
Any suggestion's appriciated.

Thanx in advance
I have the same problem.

Jompa, Start the computer in safe mode, and see if the problem is there, too. If not, uninstall the drivers. When you restart, the windows drivers will take over and you should have a regular screen. Then re-install the video drivers. Then look on the WOW website, check for compatibility and any patches there for your board. Also, check the mother board manufacturer for an BIOS update, too.

If It messes up in safe mode, then you will need to re-install Windows.
Please let me know how you make out.
