Canon Powershot 560 Error message lens wont extend

You need to elaborate a little further. I had two problems with the camera. One was that the zoom button got messed up when I'd opened up the camera and put it back. Because of this, the lens would extend at powerup, but not extend or retract using zoom button. I've mentioned it in the repair guide that I'd put together. Second problem was that the gears in the gear box broke, because of which I got lens error. If you're adventurous enough, you can open it up and repair it yourself. The gears are available on ebay for $12.50 including shipping. The repair guide is at:

you have faulty spring and you need to have that serviced at a service center. check if you need to replace the spring or just correctly put it back into position. hope this helps.
