My Dacor convection oven (ERD30/36) fan (not the convection fan) will not shut off even if I turn off power at the fuse box. I also tried running the self clean to see if it would turn off when self clean finished, but no luck. May have happened because I used very hot water to clean grease from the stoive top and perhaps some of that water leaked below and got something wet. Any ideas?

Why is my double oven not working but fan is working?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Electrolux double oven is not heating up, even though the fan is running. I suggest resetting your appliance, be either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. If further troubleshooting is needed, please leave me your model number, so I am able to better assist. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
WP

My Delonghi EST461 ST oven has stopped working. The grill and fan work but the oven does not, it initially tripped the fuse. Any suggestions

always turn the power off first , you will need a flash light look carefully around the bottom element , I think it has burned out on you , it will have a bump or burned spot on it or may even be broken off , this is bery easy to replace and cheep if you find it is burned or broken off email all info on oven make, model, serial number I will locate the part and tell you how to replace it Have a nice day !

The oven wont turn on,fan works but heat wont come on

Most likely you have a faulty fan element- this is a round element that goes around the fan at the back. To check- Disconnect from power(easiest way is to switch off oven at fuse board). Remove rear panel inside oven (held on by screws), and visually check element- often you will see a blow mark on the element. Element is easily changed, although sometimes requires oven to be removed to access element wires from the back. Proceed if you are a confident DIYer, otherwise call a local service agent. Elements are readily available for $75-$125 depending on the retailer. Can give further advice if you provide a model number. Good luck!!

Baumatic oven not heating up. Grill and fan fine.

if it is the b180, the answer (having just fixed this) is really simple.

The coily bit is the oven element - it will have gone. A new one from eBay cost me about 6 quid.
[WHEN IT ARRIVES !]

Turn the power off.
Inside the oven use a philips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws (KEEP THEM !)
You will see a coily thing and a fan.

You unscrew 3 more screws (2 on the left and 1 on the right).
(KEEP THESE TOO!)

now ... bit tricky, have the new one inside the oven and take each wire off one at a time and put it on the new element.

Screw it back on but DONT put the last panel back in.

Turn the oven on maximum for about 2 minutes and see it glow red.

Turn the oven off. Make a cup of tea and have a couple of biscuits while admiring how good you are and waiting for the element to cool down!!!

Put the final panel back in place. Whole thing (including a cup of tea) takes about half an hour.

Oven displays F7 error code and does not function

Hi,

Unplug the Oven, Disconnect the Power Supply and then Turn the Oven Back, say after 30 minutes. If the code still appears it could be either Faulty Touch Pad or Computer.

Now,

To check, Turn OFF the Oven as we did earlier, then remove the Control Panel . Disconnect the Ribbon like Cable from the Touch Pad. Disconnect it from the Computer. Turn the Oven, and if Code appears Replace Computer Unless Replace Touch Pad.

It is a Valid Model Number. You could buy the same from :-

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have a Competence B1180, it cuts out after irregular periods of time, although sometimes it may even complete a cooking cycle, if turned off for 10-15min it will re-start, but invariably cuts out again...

Could be caused by either of following;

1. Faulty thermostat.
2. Faulty thermal cut out switch. (controls power to cooling fan).
3. Faulty cooling fan (not fan inside oven).

Test thermostat by setting thermostat to low temperature like 60 oC. If oven gets much hotter then its a faulty thermostat.
To test cooling fan and thermal switch take oven out and remove top or rear panels to expose components.
When oven gets hot the cooling fan should turn on. If it doesn't then check to see if there is a mains voltage present.
If mains current exist but fan is not turnig then replace fan. If mains voltage is not present then its the thermal switch.

Power running through neutral wire

If you are getting power on the neutral that usually means the neutral is open (broke). To confirm this check the voltage on your 2 hot leads. You may need to check the voltage when the oven is on. You may find high voltage on one leg and low voltage on the other. The high voltage would fry a fan (so would low voltage for that matter). I hope this helps. Sorry I don't know more.

Oven fan keeps on clicking

There are two things that you can check. one is your circuit breaker itself and the other is the internal terminal block that the main wires feed into. the terminal block could have loose wires which will cuase an intermittant PF to appear on the oven, disconnect from power before checking. The voltage at the oven will have to be checked with a multimeter to verify the proper levels. Be sure to be extra careful around electrical connections while the oven is connected to power.

Oven fan

Helt, there was a service flash on this model having to do with a wire in the wiring harness not made to specifications. Now, Im just going by the model number posted. Depending on your serial number your model could be included. What it sounds like is that your fan limit switch is gone wacky. This is located in the rear of the oven and tests would have to be done to determine if that switch is closing for some reason. There were other service flashes on this model concerning the thermal cut out mounted just below the vent causing it to open during cleaning. You might want to call for service and see if your appliance is covered under these service flashes. Catriver..post back.
