I also have the same problem. When it first starts up, there is a loud clunk and the error message appears. Spoke with the vendor and they want $400 to fix the issue. I can't find anything to fix this on Google, that's never happened before :-( Panasonic's website is next to useless to get any help.

  • drbob10533 Aug 11, 2008

Exactly the same problem. I can't even find out what the error code means. But machine makes the noises described by others. $400 + to fix. Panasonic offers little help. Won't even tell us what the error code means.

  • jjohnson286 Aug 28, 2008

we've had this maybe 3 Months granted it's heavily used it makes like a clunk sound however it only happens when The extra tray is pluged in...So I think I'm a little different than the above problem but maybe the same?

E3-20 means main motor rotation problem...

1-you have a bad motor "doubt it"

2- your fuser is blown and stops everything. you need to have the fuser replaced. this is a 99% probability

A message keeps flashing up 231 fatal error. Can you let me know what I need to do. 0116 240 3430 Dorothy

231 fatal error is telling you that the data from the chip on the toner cartridge is invalid or cannot be read.

This may happen for one of the following reasons:

1)The printer is unable to read the data on toner chip because of toner dust or dirt inside the printer.
Solution: Clean the printer inside, clean toner slot and drum.. See:Clean your laser printer.

2)Either the toner is not an original cartridge, it is refurbished or refilled, or the chip on the toner cartridge is defective.
Solution: replace the toner, or replace the Chip on toner cartridge.

3)The toner sensor in your OKI is defective.
Solution: Call the support number listed on the printer manual to arrange repair.

Have amber error indicator light (blinking), and NO green indicator light; computer screen displays message "Yellow toner cartidge: Put"; I've removed yellow cartridge and replaced it and closed lid;...

It can be a faulty toner sensor, usually that happens when the printer is dirty inside. First try removing all toner, and preforming the complete toner loading procedure, refitting all toners on the carousel. If that does not work try cleaning the printer, see: http://www.google.com/webhp#hl=en&q=clean+printer+safely&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=clean+printer+safely&aqi=&fp=7sb--Tp2L2o If still no luck, then the printer is faulty. In that case call manufacturer at te number listed on the owner manual.

Toner sensor error 413K displayed even though new toner has been placed..we cannot print

In the side of the blue handle on the toner there should be a window that has a white flag inside it. the surface of the flag may be dirty and require cleaning. alternatively, there is a sensor opposite this in the side of the printer that "looks" for the white flag moving during the startup sequence that may also require cleaning. K in the code would indicate K or black toner is the one to be checking.

Error code E000019-0000

Hi this is only indicating a dirty waste toner bottle neck.
It is easy to solve.
Take a star screwdriver, remove the one screw of the left lower panel. You will find the panel at the left-lower side of the machine, the side were you have to open to remove paper jams on the fixing side of the machine.
After removing that panel, remove the bottle remove the toner inside the bottle clean the NECK of the bottle inside and outside and put the bottle back in it's place.Put the panel back and switch machine on and off.
THIS WORKS ALWAYS

Brothers HL 1240 Alarm light on

Pull the drum out the front door, remove the toner cartridge and check for any paper and remove it.

Make sure there is toner in the toner cartridge. Look at the lights on the printer. Look at the labels beside them. The label "Toner" will have two lines going to two lights. If those two lights are on when you try to print, you are out of toner. But a now toner and install it in the drum. Install the drum back into the printer.

If not, look at the drum. At the rear top is an opening across the whole drum. Look inside it, you will see a metal grid. That grid must be clean or it will cause small sparks. These sparks will cause a false toner empty error. Buy a can of compressed air from Best Buy (or wherever). Use this compressed air to blow clean the grid. Move the small blue tab at one side of the opening ti the other side and back again. Reinstall the drum and try printing again.

If neither of those help, write back and let me know what lights stay on when the printer stops.

Canon NP6050 Error code E013

E013 refers to the waste toner receptical being full, but in this case the toner melts at the end of the worm screw assembly causing the cleaning unit to block up, activating the microswitch which tells the machine the waste toner bottle is full. The solution is to try to free up the worm screw assembly, failing that, replacement of the drum cleaning assembly.
