Hi,

When you connect your iPhone to the PC that you always sync with, Go to Info tab, Check the box Sync Contacts with: and select Outlook. Then make sure that you check the box Put new contacts created on this phone into the group: and select a subfolder in your main contacts folder.

This way, all the contacts from your iPhone will be saved into another folder in your main contacts folder of your Outlook PST.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
Sandeep

In iTunes, I do not have a box that says "Put new contacts created on this phone into the group: and select a subfolder in your main contacts folder." There is one that says "Add contacts created outside of groups on this iPhone to . . .", but iTunes won't let me check it.

I had my iphone synced with a drive that crashed. When I installed a new drive and tried to sync with itunes, the message said since my phone was synced with a different library, shycing would erase all my data on the phone and repace it with the PC data. My PC doesn't have any contacts...they were lost with the drive crash. How do I get synced with this new drive without losing al my data on the phone?

Speaking of syncing iPhone with Outlook, you can take advantage of iTunes to sync contacts. How to sync contacts from iphone to outlook 2003? - sync-contacts-from-iphone-outlook-2003-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-4-0.jpg

  1. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable, and launch iTunes.
  2. Click iPhone icon, and choose Info the Summary Panel in left sidebar.
  3. Check Sync Contacts with, and choose in the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Apply at the right bottom to start syncing iPhone contacts with Outlook.
When the sync is finished, the contacts will show up in the Outlook contacts. Besides syncing contacts, you can also sync iPhone calendars and mails to outlook as well. But if you have noticed, the sync of iTunes is an annoying issue among iPhone users as during the sync of iTunes, the application may erase the available files in their iPhone. At this moment, you can use the iPhone transfer software to sync iPhone with Outlook.

Where are my contacts after changing to iphone 3

Unfortunately, the iPhone does not work with contacts saved on your SIM. You need to use the Pam Desktop to move your old contacts to your PC. Then, use iTunes to sync back your Windows Contacts with your new iPhone. If you don't want to use iTunes, you can use a more direct way to copy iPhone contacts directly to the iPhone.

Copy contacts from iphone to computer

To copy contacts from iPhone to computer
- Open iTunes on your computer that you sync it to
- Plug in your phone to the computer
- open "Address book" window's address book program. Kinda lame, but it works. Its under start-programs-accessories
- Back to iTunes, click on the phone icon on the left
- Click on the Info, and under "Contacts" (the first one) check "sync contacts from" and then pick "Mac address book" from the drop down menu
- Click all contacts
- Then at the bottom right of iTunes, click "Sync" It will ask you if you want to merge or replace. Make sure you select "MERGE" or it will delete your contacts on the phone.
