No display but fully functional regarding sound

Left half of display not visable one day and then then next day display portion with graphics and song detail went out. Now there is no display when face is closed. However, display does currently work when face is open for insert of CD but once it closes again it goes blank.

More then likely the flex cable that connects main p.c.b to the connector keyboard plugs into is defective. For service manual email kstahl65@att.net

How do I change time on the MP538U? Instruction manual is no help

Hit the 'fnc' button (function) turn the control knob until you see clock adjust in the display. Press and hold the control knob until the time display blinks. To select what you want to adjust push the control knob to the right or left to select minutes hours. Push the knob up or down to make the adjustments. Exit the clock adjust function by pressing the 'fnc' button again. Here's a link to your owners manual for future problems. Have a great day and thanks for using fixya!

VRVD630 clock

Yes, there is. There is a button on the bottom left side, right next to the 6th preset button that says "clock" on it. If you just hold down that button, the clock will start to flash, then you just use the volume button to set the time. Turning counterclockwise will change the hour, clockwise is for the minutes.

Peripheral's Connex2Car adapter to an Alpine CDA-9851

the alpine should recognize it as a "changer" when you select the source; ie: radio, CD, changer. Sounds simple, but have you turned up the volume on the iPod?
The Alpine adapter is $100, but works great, you can totally control all your iPods functions, and it displays all song info on the Alpine decks display.
