Question about Washing Machines

Turns off during cycle

I can't reach my husband and am tackling this myself. Just today, in the last 2 minutes of the cycle, the pause/start button seemed to go off - unlocking the door. I pushed the button and the drum turned a couple times in each direction and the darn pause/start button seemed to turn off again unlocking the door. I couldn't get the cycle to finish. I came online to this site and saw the suggestion about cleaning the filter/trap by removing the bottom panel (and 3 screws) and I too found an assortment of coins and junk (and I'm pretty good about checking pockets before washing clothes - well, I guess not good enough!). Anyhow, I thought all my problems were solved. NOPE! It still stops after a couple drum rotations. Any ideas?

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Lg dryer dle7177 cutting off during cycle

I had a tumble dryer that stopped working and after much investigation it turned out to be an internal thermostatic switch and lots of fluff around the internal filters. ( Mine had 2 of them 1 would cut the heat and kick back in when the temperature dropped and the other one would completely cut all power rendering the drier non usable until cicuit breaker thermostat was replaced. The reason they cut out is to prevent overheating and possible fire. When the thermostat gets to certain temperature it breaks the circuit. Apparently you shouldn't stop the drier until it has completely cooled down as there will be too much heat which could cause a fire, which is why most drier cycles have 10 minutes of cool/ non heated air at the end. So in conclusion I would take all the filters out and give them a good clean and try to avoid opening the door while there is still a lot of heat in the drier. I'm not sure if this will help but its a starting point.

Electrolux front loader washer ewd1477 flashing start/pause button. interrupted during wash cycle by power outage. start/pause button now flashes and won't start any cycle.

Try to turn circuit breaker off, or unplug unit, for about 5-6 minutes. This is a hard reset and should reset the internal controls to restart the unit properly.

My dolphin inexplicably shuts off for no apparent reason. It's been happening since I charged it last - about 4 uses ago. It'll be playing for 5 to 10 minutes, even 15, then just shuts down. ...

Have you checked the settings? There's one in there for auto-shutoff. I had this happen and it turned out I had accidentally changed this setting.

Whirlpool duet ht.... Door will not unlock, cancel button turns machine off. will not start, unlock button does nothing. clothes stuck inside, not sure if there is water inside or not, but will not drain...

Hello there and thank you for chosing fixya
Here is a few things to check before you do a manual opening of the door
You may have already done these steps but please try this again in this order ok?

Check to see if the "Add a Garment" light is lit on the Duet's display. The light will only be on during the first eight minutes of a washer cycle, when the function is usable.
Press the "Pause/Cancel" button once to pause the washing cycle and unlock the door.Press the Press the "Pause/Cancel" button twice to cancel the wash cycle if the "Add a Garment" light is not illuminated. THIS IS A BIGGIE HERE (Wait for the water to drain. The door unlocks once enough water has drained to enable you to safely open the washer door NOW IF THESE STILL DO NOT WORK THEN HERE IS HOW TO MANUALLY OPEN THE DOOR
UNPLUG THE MACHINE
Remove the three screws securing the lower toe panel to the washing machine. The lower toe panel is the small rectangular panel underneath the washer's front door. Pull the panel off the washer once the three screws are removed.Reach up into the front panel of the washer. Feel for the teardrop-shaped tab in the washer's door latch assembly.Pull down on the tab until you hear a click. The click is the sound of the door unlocking.

I have a gsd5610 and my drying button is blinking.the unit will not start

Someone opened your DW during last washing cycle. The Machine paused but no-one pushed the button to resume the cycle. It's still waiting for you to tell it to finish last cycle. Press your PAUSE/Cancel button 'til the light goes off. Then use your machine as you normally would.

Hope this info was helpful to you. Good Luck! :-)

What does error code E2 mean? I have a Bosch Maxx Classic.

The e2 error is a generic error that the machine shows if it's been overloaded or if the load becomes unbalanced during a wash cycle.

to fix you must do a master reset of the washing machine.

1. Close the door and make sure the dial is pointing to the "OFF" function
2. Hold the Start/Pause button and turn the dial anti clockwise (to the left) to the "express 15 min" program at the same time.
3. Hold the Start/Pause button for a minute (the e2 message is meant to start flashing after a minute of holding the button down however with my washing machine this didn't happen)
4. Release the button and turn the dial back to the "Off" function.
5. Select any program and the message should not be appearing.
