Question about Sony KP-57HW40 57" Rear Projection Television
When the tv stays on for a long period of time it starts to turn off and then the button for stand by flashes eight times.
Eight blinks means, "High voltage error". The probable cause location
listed is "T8005 is faulty (D board). T8005 is the fly-back
transformer (FBT). or you can replace the full d-board
You may purchase the D board complete for $185.10
or send in for repair here
if one of the crt is shorted it can also cause this problem.

Note: eight blinks can be audio problem after hot....
Check IC406 audio amp, PS401,402..........................T.
