Usually the seller load the card with games so you only need to insert the card with DS game shape into the DS game slot-1. And that must work for long time as you dont overfill the card with saved games.
When you turn ON the NDS with the card placed (like a common game), The DS card should show a menu to choose between the available games in it.
If you cant see any game, menu or whatever then you might have a blank card so you might need to load the games yourself into the card. You must have a flash linker (big slot-2 GBA cartridge) that must have a jack to plug the USB cable from your computer.
You can download the required software latest files from the manufacturers
website.
Once connected, turn on your DS, your PC will recognize it and you will
be able to drag and drop files, then you can delete or copy some less
used game roms or save files from the card to your PC leaving free
space for the others to run.
If nothing of that works for you,
then you would try to find a FAQ or support forum site where you can
find more options to solve this issue. All the cards work almost the same way but each one has his own issues, manuals and FAQs. And some sellers are selling the DS cartridge only, without the flash linker or USB cable and many people dont know with that tools they can exchange and download and load other ROMS, clear the card when stuck or corrupted, etc.
Good Luck...
