Re: HOW TO TAKE OUT THE STAND
Usually it is in the owners manual, but if not, try removing the screws on the back bottom of the base. Just lay that LCD on a flat surface like a bed and then you should be able to see how to remove the base. usually 4 screws. I haven't seen this exact model though. Good luck. Jay

If you broke one of the base stand screw you will need to do as follow:
Remove the remaining screws of the stand and try to remove the stand, if you cant you will need to remove the back cover of the TV and then you will be able to remove the stand, remove the broken screw and put it all back.
It is pretty easy but if you feel you cant do it let me know and I can give you a detailed step by step guide.
these are removal instructions should be helpful though
Open up the panel on the back of the TV which covers the various input
connections. At the bottom of the area previously covered, there are 8
screws (two rows of four screws). Remove them, and the entire stand
should now slide right out of the TV. You can then replace the screws
back in their holes, so you don't lose them. You do not need to
disassemble the stand to do this.
On the back of the set you will see 8 screws just above the stand; remove the screws and gently slide the stand out. Wiggle it alittle and the stand will come out. Remove the metal tab you just pulled out by removing the screws at the bottom of the tab (attached to the pivit joint) place the tab back in the bottom of the set( same place you removed it from) and re-install the screws ( don't over tighten them). You are done.
I had the same trouble with this set and the tech support was of no help. Good Luck.
I just repaired a 26" in which the stand came off after I took the primary panel off in the middle of the back then the screws were visible that Olevia is talking about. You might have a different style but it does come off.
There are 4 screws lay the tv flat on it's face and leave the stand hanging over the edge of the table, put a blanket under the tv to protect the screen, hold the stand up to take the pressure of the screws and use a philips head driver with magnetism, I do this for a living and you should not be having such a problem
There are four screws in the back of the TV above where the stand is. Inbetween the screws is a metal handle that pulls out. These four screws need to be removed and the metal handle pulled out. Then the TV will come off the stand.
