My Samsung S860 won't even turn on anymore. I changed the batteries but it is still not doing anything. Is there something I should do?

Same thing just happened to us. The green light comes on and the lens opens up but the screen stays blank and it gets stuck here. My daughter barely used this camera - only has taken about 180-200 pictures since she received it as a gift.

Dear Member!
The screen back-light or inverter has gone, usually this is a guarantee issue,so if you take this to one of the services they has to repair for free. You can open an check the screen cable connections,if they are OK ,or try resolder if necessary, but most likely is the inverter which is not user repairable,so must to be taken to the service. If there is no sign of impact or other damage and the camera is in warranty they has to repair it for free. Good luck! Regards!

Display screen no longer works while taking pictures

Sounds like they accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of the camera. This manually turns the screen on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time with the camera turned on.

LCD Display Blank

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

Poor image displayed on cscreen after shot taken

I have an s60 and it sounds like I had this exact problem. Whenever I took a photo, the entire picture was covered with white horizontal lines. The actual image files were striped the same way.

I found this on the Canon USA site:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=PgComSmModDisplayAct&keycode=2112&fcategoryid=223&modelid=10149

Because it was a hardware issue, they sent me a shipping label, I sent in the camera, they fixed it, and sent it back. All free of charge.

Good luck; I hope your camera is repairable.
