Hello if you mean that you can't see the dvd screen while driving only in the park position with the hand brake on well, what i did i just connected the brake wire to a good ground source and it works great hope this answers you question HAPPY HOLIDAYS
You need a 12 volt DC power cord which is compatible with your unit. I would begin by taking it to a radio shack or even a WalMart electronics department. good luck
