I have ripped some of my cds on to Windows media player then synced a newly bought philips gogear by USBconnection. They have been transferred onto the mp3 player but won't play. DRM license not available...

DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. In the copying process you have triggered or lost the permission licence to play the track. Presumably the CD was copy protected and wouldn't transfer the DRM licence to your new file.
There are ways to copy the files and if you are resourceful then you will find a way. But I can't tell you due to site rules.

Philips mp3 go gear, i can put songs on but then when i come to play it says media engine error.drm licence not available.

When the message 'Error' or 'License Issue' shows, it is referring to the DRM (Digital Rights Management) licences which are commonly found when downloading files. This is a method the music companies use to protect their music

Why wont it let me listen to my music that I have transferred onto my galaxy samsung s phone. I'm getting the message "This item has expired. Connect to PC and download licence" What license????

You have encountered 'DRM' -- Digital Rights Management.
DRM is deployed to all you to play your music on _one_ computer, by granting you a "license" for that computer.
If you move the music-file to another computer, you must EXPORT and then IMPORT the license for that music-file.

Connect your Galaxy Samsung phone to your computer, and it will use the computer to download a license onto the Galaxy Samsung.

On all tracks when i press play i get message ''media engine error! drm license not available'' i have a gogear sa1942

Your song (.WMA) are copy protected by 'Microsoft Windows Media digital rights management (DRM)' and appears to be requesting a license key which needs to be loaded to your player.
Solution:
- Media Player will automatically load those licences keys to your player for your authorised music/media files.
- Alternatively, remove DRM (for song that you own ...) by some third party means software (including burning them on CD with appropriate options)
- Use alternative songs encoding (such as .mp3) that do not this protection.

In your Windows media Player go into tools and select options. Select rip music and untick copy protect music. The music you have in WMP wont work. you will have to put them in again after you made the changes. Hope this helps

Drm license not available when i was trying to listen to my mp3 it wont let me listen to any type of song.

You need to plug your mp3 into the computer you downloaded your music from to sync it up. Go to that website and if you dont get a pop up asking if you want to sync your device. You should do this at least once a week.

Music files on MP3 player not playing due to license problem

This player was made before the advent of the DRM license system. You will have to use mp3 files or UNPROTECTED WMA's. DRM-license-protected WMA's - which is what most music services use - will not work on this player.

Playing Blue ray to my tv on HD pavillion dv9000

You are trying to play a music or movie file that uses DRM copy protection, generally windows media player and other DRM supportive players will try to acquire the license to play the content when you open it. If you are getting this message you eaither do not have the appropriate license to play the file, are not connected to the internet when playing, or their may be a problem with you DRM backup in windows.

I would contact the online store (where you got the file) and ask them about troubleshooting the problem if you believe the DRM license should be valid.

If you got the file from a friend or filesharing service you will not be able to use it and may as well delete it.

How do I fix a drm problem in windows media player 11

DRM, which specifies whether tracks copied from CDs in Windows Media Audio (WMA) format are protected files. A license, which helps protect the copyrights of artists by preventing unauthorized distribution, is required to play protected files.
If you're trying to play your copy-protected files on a new computer, you can migrate your protected music from one computer to another by doing the following:
Windows Media Player 7.1 or later
1.
Try to play the copy-protected file again.
2.
In the message that appears, click the More Information button.
3.
Follow the instructions for migrating your licenses.
Windows Media Player 7
1.
Download the Personal License Update Wizard for Windows Media Player (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0048.mspx)and follow the instructions.
2.
Try to play the copy-protected file again.
3.
In the message that appears, click the More Information button.
4.
Follow the instructions for migrating your licenses.
A license can be migrated ten times. After this limit is reached, you will receive an error when you try to migrate the license again (for more information, see the Windows Media Player FAQ). When this occurs, you will need to rip the file from the CD again.
note.gif Note If you still have the CD in your possession, you can rip the tracks from the CD again, but with copy protection turned off.
