Don;t understand. If you had an electrician out & checked motor, why didn't he carry on & find the fault? If he didn't know how to fix a washing machine then why did you get an electrician and not an appliance service technician? Temp. thing between the terminals on the element is the temperature sensor. Problem will not be anything to do with element or temperature as it doesn't get that far in to the cycle. You need to find out why the motor is not turning after the fill is complete. Could be a motor, wiring or control board problem. Best get a tech out who is experienced with F&P appliances. If no error code coming up then I would suspect a faulty control board.
Hi - Fisher & Paykels does not come with heaters fitted, the two hot/cold inlets are used in prortion to the settings of the wash cycle in use.
So with a cold tap only you would expect cold wash functions only, if you accidently chose a warm wash the machine will start beeping as there is nothing to bring the temp level to the expected setting.
It sounds like the fill hoses are inverted. Most of the Fisher washers only fill with cold water after the initial fill. So if the hose are inverted then it will only fill with hot. Beyond this I'm at a loss. Good luck
If the machine has stopped and still has water in it, the drain pump is jammed. The pump is situated under the machine on the right hand side and can be accessed if you tilt the machine back against a wall. Try turning the motor fan by hand. Sometimes it will clear any foreign matter caught in the pump. If still jammed, remove pump by switching the machine off at the wall and pulling out the plug. Remove the wiring harness from the pump and turn it clockwise while releasing the white plastic clip which holds it in place and keeps it from turning on its own.
