HI Guys 6A00 error usually cant't be fixed according to the service centre, I was lucky and actually bought an extended warranty, the service centre said that the MP530 are a good printer and worth fixing as they don't see many at all compared to other models and other brands. There was a broken piece of hardware that something to do with the print carriage. cheers vailey

I just got that error about 1 week ago. It won't clear. Unfortunately it is 3 months past its warranty period. I suggest you have Canon fix it or replace it if it's still within 1 year of you purchasing it. Remember to have your receipt!

My Canon MP530 is giving 6A00 error message and alarm light is flashing along with copy button. i have replaced empty ink cartridges with new ones. Can anyone help, please?

Error code 6A00 indicates an error occurred in the AP motor during purging operation. You need to replace sheet feed unit, logic board assy and purge unit to fix it. Before replacement of the logic board assy, check the waste ink amount (by service test print or EEPROM information print). If the waste ink amount is 7% or more, also replace the ink absorber kit when replacing the logic board assy.

Canon PIXMA MP530 All-In-One InkJet Printer Canon mp530 error 6a00

The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam. Some where in the paper path a sensor is activated indicating paper jam so the printer will give off a 6A00 code.
Clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like

MP530 KEEPS GIVING US A C510 ERROR OR A 6A00 PROBLEM HOW DO WE SLOVE THIS.

6A00 means the purge assembly on the right where the printhead parks is jammed or stuck. You can look to the right if the carriage is not stuck on the right, see if there is paper or something caught in there. After that it will need a new purge assembly, around $40.00

Message: Check Printer 6A00 and message Service Error 5C10. I have rebooted, turned printer on and off, hit reset and reinstalled software.

Hello there
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Show the code 6A00 and the printer won't print. The lcd reads check printer then flashes 6A00

That error indicates a sheet feeder error, apparently its not something you can fix yourself and you will need to send it in for repair.
You will need to send it too an Canon approved repair center, calling Canon and asking them should reveal where to send it.

Display Shows Error 6A00 and it Doesnt Work ahead

6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit.
Follow Canon's suggestion, take it or send the unit UPS to the Authorized Repair Facility.
You will NOT be able to resolve the problem yourself.
