Hi,
If You are only one HDD connect then you make primary HDD jumper slot sat. And right direction data cable sat. And connect motherboard port proper.
Open Bios and check it HDD driver detect or not. If detect ok if problem then change data cable and power cable. Some diagnosis your problem solved.
when gears and selecters are in place they should marry up to the slots and then you can rotate carefully selecting all gears with shift lever as its sat in the bottom crank case !
I know this is very old, but I have a 2006 mg30dfx and this happened to me too - it sat for years with little to no use, finally fired it up and love the OD tone, but effects were not working. I opened it up and the effects board had worked loose (popped out so it was just resting on the slot). A simple gentle push down re-seated it into the slot and effects work perfectly now. 10 minute fix.
It uses DDR RAM 266 MHz. I can use up to 2 GB. Once you have memory for it, turn off the computer and unplug it. Open the case. Look for the existing RAM. It is fits in a slot. There will be two slots in parallel. You press the tabs at the ends of the existing RAM and it will pop out of the socket. Note how it sat in the slot, in particular the placement of the notches at the bottom. You want to place your new RAM in the same way, so that the notches match the notching in the RAM slot. Press this into place so that the tabs on the end pop back upon the ends of the RAM. You do not have to press extremely hard. Make sure the tabs on the ends fit into the notches at the ends of the RAM. Close the case. Plug it back in and turn on.
You can connect via a coax cable from the sat. box to VHF input of your TV and tune on ch 3 or 4 or connect via a RGB cable to component input of your TV or a regular Audio/Video composite cable will connect sat. receiver to your TV use yellow color for video and red&white for stereo Audio then choos the connected input on the menue and watch sat.
if u can open the cpu cabinet, check on the motherboard if u have a slot as shown in the left picture.. if it has, then u can connect the sata hard disk. if not ur motherboard only has ide connectivity.
