I set an appointment on my calender and the alarm went off to remind me, now it won't shut off. I've made it into TOOLS and ALARMS and turned them all OFF, even deleted the appointment and nothing works.
I've turned it off, I've pulled the battery, I've changed batteries and nothing worked. Took it to SPRINT who lost 150 contacts moving the contacts from one phone to another. I now have a new phone that I have to restore contacts to. Thanks for trying.I've turned it off, I've pulled the battery, I've changed batteries and nothing worked. Same problem here too. I've turned it off and back on. I made it to my calender once and deleted not just that event but 240 others... but it's still going. I took the battery out both while the phone was turned on and when it was off. I also took the SIM card out and put it back in. The alarm won't stop.

As far is I can tell there is not a global setting for turning off the alarm on the calender. Whenever you create a "Schedule" event on your calender the default seems to be for a "Reminder" alarm to go off "On Time"; that is to say the alarm will go off at the exact of your scheduled event. However, when you first create a "schedule" event you can scroll down to "Reminder" and choose from "On Time", "10 Minutes before", "30 Minutes before", "1 Hour before" or you can choose the one you would want which is "No Alarm". You can also find options on that screen for controlling what kind of alarm you want including the choice of having a "Vibrate only" alert to you scheduled event. You can always go back and "Edit" any events that are already scheduled and deselect the alarm for those events.
If you don't want to mess with the different alarms and alarm settings you might consider creating from the "Create Event" menu either a "Task" or a "Note" for a particular date on the calender. There are no default alarms associated with either of those. Create "Note is very easy to use. Just select a date and you can enter the time and other appointment information in the "Note" area of the "Create Note" screen.
If the Microsoft Outlook Application is installed in the Computer, you can set reminders using that. If not, you may use another applications like Google Calendar or creating the .bat files. To create a reminder for an Appointment using Microsoft Outlook, please open the Outlook Application and press the Ctrl + Shift + A Keys. This will open an new appointment window. You can set the reminders there.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

I have a lot of problems with the calender. when I first got the phone, a week or two ago, I put my work houres in it, and the whole week, no alarm. then weekend came and a small icon above of a small calender appeared, and the whole weekend it kept on going off 5 times in a row at 7.30, the time I needed to leave for work in the week, when it didnt went off at all O_o today, I had to leave at 8.30 and it went off at 8.30 but also at 7.30 again, while that's not an alarm in my calendar for today.. after work my cookie suddenly went out, I had to take the battery pack out to "reboot" it, now the calender icon is gone, I wonder if it will go off at 8.30 tomorow like planned or if it won't go off at all anymore again..
Another thing I noticed is, that when I put in a date from one houre to another is that it doesn't state the correct houre (when I put in 8.00 to 16.00 it shows 00.00 to 16.00) I put in until I open the actual appointement.
strangely enough, my cookie just lighted up it's screen as if I touched it out of itself and even more strange, the calendar icon up there is back..!

This is what I got from Samsung when I sent them a summary of the calender failing to deactivate, even after the appointment was removed.
Mine has been quiet for an hour so far:
