Please check the Broadcast System setting of the TV. It should be in the correct setting. If you are in the USA, it should be NTSC and Vertical frequency 60 cycles, if you are in Europe, then it should be PAL (I, or B/G) with 50 cycles Vertical frequency. Once you have made the correct selection, the problem should resolve.

I have a Akai pdp4206ea and the dtv works fine but when i try to add a game system through the av connection or the s-cable the screen scrolls like a old tv getting a bad signal .........how do i fix...

I think you are having a color system problem or frame rate difference.
Where did you get the game from. Check if it has the same color system as the TV.
PAL(UK/Germany ) which has 50 frames per second and NTSC(USA/Japan) which has 60 frames per second. This difference in frames can start the picture rolling if you do not have a multi system TV.

Unplug your TV for a while and see fi you are getting the same issues after you plug it in. If it works after, then you have an overheating issue with the power supply or main board.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Monitor display had problem .

Hello Lunhoo,
Your TV should still be in warranty. If so, yes you should take it in for repair. Even if it's not in Warranty, Akai may have a special warranty extension for your TV. Check it out.
Good luck.

Had a friend with same problem. Found out to be a lightning strike. Strangely enough, the colour came back 4 months later on it's own.
Not much help, I know.
