Pull the lcd monitor out of the plastic frame and check for a loose wire connection where it leads back to the motherboard. If your lucky the backlight tube wite worked loose if not you will be looking for a new lcd screen. http://www.screentekinc.com/

SOURCE: my toshiba laptop has a thick white line down the screen

The normal cause of lines across the LCD of a laptop is a damaged video cable. The unusual cause would be the video card itself.

To determine which item is at fault, you need only attach an external monitor to your laptop's video-out, and then swap your monitor view to 'both' or mirrored (usually just the function key (FN), plus one of the Fkeys...look for an off-blue picture of a monitor on the Fkeys).

If the lines across the screen also appear on an external monitor, then the video card is damaged.

If the lines only appear on the laptop's LCD, but not the external monitor, then just the laptop's internal video cable is damaged.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: white line at bottom of display screen getting bigger.

If it's still under warranty they should be able to fix it for you. This sounds like a hardware problem. If you don't have a warranty you'd have to pay to get it fixed.

SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite M300 screen problem

Hi, I can't guaranty this will help the problem, but for a quick try I say its worth it. On the Desktop, right click to open Personalize, select Display Settings; by adjusting the resolution it helps with the "Flicker effect" aswell, by selecting different settings, you can "view" the best Monitor Display. "If the solution helped, rating it is appreciated, thanks."

Toshiba satellite pro p100 screen problem

The LCD can be replaced. The part is around $50-$75 I believe. It can be tricky to replace, but if you take your time, you can save money by doing it yourself. The screen sounds cracked or broken, and black & white will not work either.

good luck

Got white vertical lines on left side of display

Vertical lines on an LCD screen are not a good sign. This usually means that your screen is going bad.

Toshiba Satellite P105-S6124 Screen lines

Are these lines on the screen during the whole boot process? If so then the screen cpu and/or the video cpu has gone bad. Connect an external monitor. If the picture is clear, no lines, then the problem is the LCD screen. If the lines appear on the external monitor during the boot process then the mother board will need replacement.

Good Luck
