Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Our Oster toaster-oven (Model 6232) takes a long time to heat up. The heating elements are no longer bright red but rather heat up to a "dull" red. Might the problem be related to the thermostat...

You might try going to oster.com. After putting in your country, at the top of the page click on Customer Service and fill in where you live and you will get a list of service centers that you could check with. If you know what needs replaced and can do it yourself, then use this address to get parts. This will give you a list of sites that sell parts. Maybe just get both parts to see which it is.

Oster 6232 toaster oven.

trying to find a solution for a broken knob, i discovered that there aren't many decent options. so i took it upon myself to find one. my father actually recommended that i post the solution, seeing that there were so many with broken knobs. now this works on the timer knob on an oster 6232 toaster oven. it may work on the other knobs and possibly other models, but i cannot confirm that. the plastic stem of the knob that slips over the medal stem of the timer had broken. i crazy glued it back together and knew that there was no way in hell it would hold up with just glue. sorry for the lack of pics on this part. with the broken piece glued back in place, i went to home depot to find something/ anything that would securely slip over the stem of the knob. i tried all sorts of tubing. copper, pvc, steel and found nothing. in the plumbing isle with all the brass fittings and compression fittings, i found an "ander-lign compression nut" 5/8" OD w/ insert. part # A-304 961-P. 634052c.jpg
all you need is the brass flanged insert. if you can find it without the nut and compression ring, then more power to you. after buying this, slip the piece over the knob stem flanged end first. i used 5 minute opoxy to ensure it would stay in place. 7c9f2a3.jpg
i then used a cone shaped diamond bit in my dremel tool to notch out the two sides of the knob. 6be2e7e.jpg
just cut the brass down enough to match the notches in the stem of the knob. 0cdfdf7.jpg
and there you have it. sorry for the 2 blurry pics. hope this can help some of you.

Broken timer knob

I had the same problem where the time knob broke. I filled in a claim form on the Oster Website and they answered within 3 days saying the timer knob was discontinued and no longer available. They proposed to replace the whole toaster-oven with another model 6073-33 which I received last week. I've to say that their customer service was amazing.

Part P600J smokes when Oster toaster oven is turned on. Where can I get this part.

FIRST UNDERSTAND , there is nothing about this oven thats OSTER except the name oster subcontracts the work out to a china co that makes the oven and put there name on it out of the factory in china it costs $4.00 shipping to the USA $1.00 oster gets them and ships them to wallmart and bills wal mart 24.00 and you buy it and its 36.00 .... its still only a 4.00 oven to oster why would oster ever sell parts for a 4.00 unit ? you think 36.00 is a lot ? in my shop i have a proctor silex toaster made in 1972 that sold for 29.99 in 72. back then that was a lot of money ,if you needed parts you could get them ....... todays appliances cost nothing to make thats why you cant find anyone that sells parts for them . good luck on your diode you would need to know the value to get it , there are no books on this oven ,in this country anyway . i think your stuck
