Hi

Yes the problem has been solved. finally. The information on your web site was correct but the replacement board that I needed was no longer available. I ended up taking it to the local repair shop and he "worked on the board" that was messed up. Cost about the same as a new board would have, if I could have gotten one. Thanks for the great web site.

I have a Westinghouse SK-32H240S 32" flat screen

First when tapping changes the picture you have somewhere a bad connection; in electrical board or wiring.
When the screen goes blank after a while means some capacitor is bad/old.

HI...I THINK MY GRANDSON POUR BABY OIL IN THE BACK OF MY WESTINGTON HOUSE WIDESCREEN HDTV SK-32H240S. WHAT SHOULD I DO ? THANK YOU !!

Ouch! Ok... don't turn it on!!! If it's plugged in, unplug it. Get papertowels and clean off as much of the outside spill as you can. I would recommend taking the TV into a pro and letting them clean it out completely. A good TV repair shop can clean it up properly by taking the components out and reassmbling the unit. If you are electronic saavy or have a friend who is, you could possibly handle the clean up job yourself, but if the TV is still under warranty, you will want to have it professionally cleaned.

Lightning struck My SK-32H240s Widescreen HDTV and now it will not work. Is there a reset button or some way to fix this myself? No insurance and 2 years old

Hi:
If lighting struck the television then there may be a problem with the power supply, first thing to check for is the line fuse, if no standby light is lit on the front when you plug the set into AC outlet then the line fuse is blown and needs replacing.

I have a westinghouse tv model number SK-32H240S no picture

It seems that your unit has some sort of Video side, PSU fault, or a problem to the Video section that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.
