If they are not threaded, punch a hole in the screen and hook it with something and pull it out. You might have to buy a cheap screw driver and bend it into sort of a hook. If that doesn't work, try cutting the filter gently with a small box knife and pulling out the debri with small needle nose pliers.
you did not give me a mod # of your washer .... so i will go through the history of the lint filter 1955-1964 the lint filter was on the right side under the lid , twist knob and pull screen out 1965-1986 lint filter was self cleaning mounted under the washer 1987 -today there is no lint filters any more ..... lint filters where used when people hung the clothes out on the line .... today most people use a DRYER that has the lint filter in it .... i hope this helpes ....... if you are going to rate this please rate this 3 or 4 stars , that will keep me in the paid answer department . thanks
Most US-sold washers made after the mid 1980s don't have lint filters. The manufacturers weasel-word around it by saying that the lint "goes down the drain", leading people to optimistically assume that there is a self-cleaning filter in there somewhere. There usually isn't and whatever lint doesn't go down the drain is filtered by your cloths (but whatever does might clog your septic system). As a result of this scam, it's much harder to hang-dry or iron-dry clothes that haven't been hand washed. And, if you think spending $2000 on a pair of matched "front-load" style machines will solve this, you might be wrong; many of those washers still have no lint filter.
It has a self cleaning lint filter. Front loaders call for "Special" HE detergent .....and I would only use about a table spoon..You may be Cloging the special self cleaning lint filter ,with extra soap .Top loaders use a lot of water compared to front loaders. Let me know ,If I could help Again! Thanks
not a true filter on machine ..if you have odor issue try filling tub ith hot water pour in 2 cups chlorine bleach allow to mix and then let set approx 30-45 min aloow to finish cycle this will also help clean any residue from outer plastic tub that may be coming back off onto clothes by the way what passes for a filter may be 4 small washers under agitator or at best a plastic piece with lots of teeth under inner basket on bottom good luck
There are many possible cause of a leak. If it is set to portable make sure that the faucet is off after the cycle. You also need to make sure that you are not over loading the washing machine. Please refer to owners manual how much is the capacity your washing machine can take. Drain lines is also a possibility for this leak as well as the intake inlet. If it's leaking in the center most likely the bearing have broke off and you might need a new center seal. This job requires a professional to be replaced. My advice for Avanti users is to return it and buy something else that is trusted and branded for quality and performance.
