If you are a capable technician, it's easy to remove the outer cover to the system, which should give access to the DVD player belt to replace it. Otherwise, have a local electronics repair shop do it. It's not that difficult... just be sure to unplug the unit before opening it up.
ur dvd player has region lock . it will not play all the disk. check the DVD OF STAR WARS MOVIE which region it belongs. jus try the following not sure is it work or not
Open the tray. Press 99990 on the remote. by doing this ur dvd player will become region free then insert ur dvd and try. for region 1 and region 2 code is 99991 ,99992 respectively.
feel free contact through fixya.
This worked for me (taken from the service manual)
Power on Unit
Then Open / Eject
Then type the following...
9999 followed by *subtitle* followed by the region you want EG: Region 2 would be - 9999 *subtitle* 2
Works perfect for me :)
When a disk is stuck inside the player , try following the procedure below:
Unplug power cord. Plug back power. Turn on the unit and press repeatedly the eject button at the same time. If you successeed in ejecting the disk before the player starts reading TOC(disk initial track), then the disk will eject. If that does not work, then there is an internal fault, in that case the unit must be taken apart to remove the disk.
Power up the set and open tray in DVD mode. Press <9999> follow by <X> buttons on the Remote control. where x = numeric 1 to 6 denoting the regions below:
Then show your region on TV 1 = USA 2 = Europe 3 = Asia Pacific 4 = Australia, New Zealand, Latam 5 = Russia, India 6 = China
