How to get Belkin wireless router to connect automatically from Vista

choose the "connect automatically when network is in range" option from control panel > network and sharing center > Manage wireless network > right-click the wifi network click properties to get there. Also make sure your desired network is at the top of the list so it is preferred over others.

Purchased a belkin easy transfer cable. When

One of the most common problems is the computer's operating system not recognizing the cable's drivers. This is most common with non-English operating systems. The quickest solution is to download the most recent driver.
If the Easy Transfer Cable isn't working properly, you can try a few things to fix the problem. Make sure that you have installed the Easy Transfer Cable drivers on your old computer with the CD that is included in the cable package. If you did not do this, close Windows Easy Transfer, insert the CD that came with the Easy Transfer Cable into your old computer, and then follow the instructions on the screen. When this is complete, begin the transfer process again.
USB ports might be another cause of the problem. When Windows Easy Transfer asks you to connect your computers with the Easy Transfer Cable, try plugging the cable into other USB ports on your computers.
A more complex problem involves the F5U409 USB PDA Adapter (The USB/Serial Portable Adapter) not installing properly. If the driver is unzipping, but the unit is not working, you need to manually update the drivers. They should all unzip to a file called F5U109 in the C: drive of your computer. Point to this file through the Device Manager to update.

Hope it helps.

Belkin n wirelss router setup

To setup the router you will need to log in to your router's control panel. This certainly won't be as simple as on the installer disc, yet it is still do-able. You might also want to contact Belkin's free technical support hot line. They can help you set it up with the method I described above.

Error installing belkin easy transfer cable

Go to Belkin's support site here: http://catalog.belkin.com/support/?lid=en, then navigate to the cable that you have and download the drivers to your hard drive. Then when the found hardware wizard comes up next you can select to install the driver from a location you'll choose (point it to wherever you downloaded them to on your hard drive). XP SP2 should have picked it up, but if your running Vista you may need Vista specific driver (should be at the Belkin support site linked above).
Good luck.

USB/Serial Adapter (F5U109)

I had the same problem. I went to my Device Manager and checked the port setting for my cable. I reset the port in advanced properties and I was then able to do a transfer. I still have a yellow flag on my cable and get the error 10 but for some reason it did the transfer???
