don't worry -the clunk noise is typical when changing gears on a Vespa 125 PX
- it is due to a very old fashioned construction in the gearbox (1940ies) see pictures:
you have to get used to that or change to a newer automatic type Vespa....

Simple, just tilt scooter on to the right hand side, for 5 secs and then try kick starting.

oil seals leak because the shaft is not held true in the seal
check for bad bearings or bad adjustment of the bearings and shaft

Sorry can't help with the kit question but 95 octane is fine. 98 only really required for sportier and higher revving engines

Probably best to replace both the gaskets between the carb and the carb box and between the box and the engine casing.

Try turning the idle screw which protrudes from the air filter box anti clockwise once it's running. Or try taking your air filter off and drilling two holes (5mm + 7mm) in the little 'heart shaped' depression on the bottom of it.

Yes. All you need is to fit extra washers to the wheel to clear the exhaust.
