Sat button won't illuminate nor operate

Illuminated bell buttons were very popular in the old days of mains transformer driven standard door bells. The bell coil needed quite a lot of current to drive it and so connecting a small lamp across the button contacts did not affect the bell or button operation and allowed enough light to illuminate a small nameplate or just the button for easy location at night.
This allowed standard 2-core bell wire to perform both the function of bell operation and button illumination. For electronic type door bells it illumination of the bell button is needed either a 3 or 4 core cable would be needed or a separate lamp, something perhaps like a welcome home lamp that is operated by a pir.

Freidland was the principle manufacturer in the UK and is still a popular choice for quality equipment but I expect similar equipment was or is available all around the world.

I will assume that the other remotes are for the same type of receiver as remotes are not always cross compatible. Press and hold the SAT button on top of the remote until all lights across the top illuminate and release. Now key in 0-1 and press the pound key. The SAT button will flash three times and now press the record button. More than likely you should have control again. If not repeat the process as the remote address which we are trying to change could be a number from 1 to 16. The likelihood of the number being grater than 16 is very slim as most technicians are not aware they can be assigned a number higher.

Even though the buttons illuminate on the remote, it may not have sufficient power to actually operate the receiver commands. Replacing the batteries may solve your issue. If it doesn't, then readdressing the remote to the receiver should resolve the issue. I have provided instructions on how to readdress. I hope this helps.

Remote: All Other Remotes

1. Go to System Info screen
2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4. Press the pound (#) button
5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Address To Other Equipment Using Power Scan

• Remote: All Remotes (except Basic)
  1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button (SAT) until all mode button backlights illuminate, then release.
  2. Press and release the Power button.
  3. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
  4. Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

One of two things may be occurring. The first is the remote address on the remote may have changed some how. The way to reset it is to press and hold the SAT button on the top left side of the remote until all lights across the top illuminate. Now key in 01 and press the pound sign on the bottom right of the remote. The SAT button will flash three times. Now try to operate the system using the remote. try charging battery hooked up to the computer
there also is a lock on the start button
slide halve way instead of all the way over

to set remote to tv
1)hold down tv button next to sat button in top left corner
2) when all buttons illuminate press 500 into remote
3)press pound sign
4)Hello, please help..
5)hold town tv button again.
6)when all buttons illuminate press big red power button
7)press up arrow once a second until tv shuts off
8)press # pound sign
9)try to turn tv back on w/ big red power button
10)if tv doesnt turn back on try again from step 2 but use down arrow instead

to set remote to receiver you need to access system info, if there is no sys info button on your receiver turn power off and press the up arrow, then press record 2 times on the remote,
