I know this great console repair shop out in north jersey, all you have to do is ship it to them and they can fix just about any thing: elecxperts . I had a similar problem and they were able to fix it no problem.

The problem you are experiencing is closely related to the dreaded RROD (Red Ring of Death). It has the same causes and solutions. I suggest getting an experienced person to repair your console for you. Take care that no one is doing the "Towel Trick" instead of an actual repair.
I run an electronics repair business and would be happy to fix your machine for you, email me at [email protected] for more info

Xbox 360 lights are green but it says mode not supported on the tv screen -no picture at all -even tried another tv and heard the audio at times but no picture-all cords intact-no ventalation problem...

Bad very bad.
It's bad solder connections under the G.P.U.
Trust me I know, I re-flow about 2-3 a day .
but the units are normally about 2 1/2 -3 years old
and 60% are Microsoft reworks. you can tell this by
a black dot on the safety seal .

You have 2 options Fix it you self , if done right you should
get 2-9 months sometimes more.

Or have a shop re-flow the G.P.U. . cost 80.00 or so.
you should get 3-12 month hard to say with these unit.

Sound of game playing but no picture

Do the following at your own risk

First take off hard drive on the 360. Then plug it to the tv not with HDTV (use the red, yellow and white make sure it is on tv not HDTV) i only say this because i didn't use the HDTV setting to fix it. then plug it into the wall with the 360 laying down not up and down and turn it on. (no picture but sound) with the 360 on take 1 towel folded it long ways and wrap it around 360 from back to front (make sure you cover the fans in the back to make it over heat.) leave your 360 on until it red rings (you can hear the 360 quit down. it takes about 15-30 mins depending on how fast it over heats. once this happens unwrap the 360 and turn it off wait 5 secs and power it back on and there you go you should have picture and sound again. . if this don'ts help you now you have a red ringed 360 and you can send it in to get repaired since there is a 3 year warrenty for red ringed 360's.
hope it helps-but remember its risky

Sound but no picture on my xbox 360

Have you tried the simple but effective, pushing the plugs in harder? And putting the 360 on its side so the disk tray opens forward and you basicly drop a disk onto the tray? And lastly have you tried pushing all plugs and everything in harder? into the t.v and 360?

My 360 turns on but no picture appears although sound is present

This is a very common . The cause clearly evident bellow.
The good news it that it can be repaired Permanently with a
proper X clamp mod , The hardware responsible (The X clamp)
is still currently being used in new and replacement units .3248784.jpg

Picture not displayed

Follow the steps below, Hope this helps

1. Try another television

2. If the steps dont work, call xbox customer support to have your xbox serviced. Good Luck!

Since its already past the 1 year warranty im pretty sure that you will be asked to pay..

The main reason why its acting that way its possible that the AV PORT is faulty
