go to suzuki yet?, in usa they are IMPLODED, (bugged out)
Verona? 2004
here is the EX model
if confused call them. and give VIN
and they can in fact match VIN to any part. you want
in USA. (i cant do non usa ever)
This sounds similar to what was wrong with my Verona when I bought it private party. Is the ABS light on? Take your car into the shop to see if it's the wheel hub assembly (wheel bearing). Sadly, if it is the wheel bearing, a new one is pricey $$$. Good luck! :) Additional Info: I've only had my 2004 Verona EX for a few months and it has been nothing but problems--the first being a bad wheel bearing. Check Engine light seems to be on every other week because the fuel system is too lean somewhere. It's also an oil hog. Unless you have an extended drivetrain warranty, forget getting any help from Suzuki Corporate.
I think you need to replace cylinders head gasket ( O rings ) that sits between the sits betrween cylinders and engines block, to seal cylinder head of any leakge of oil or cooling liquids.
the check engine light stays on if there is trouble codes in the computer it could just be a simple miss fire that triggered the check engine light to come on i would have a shop or auto parts store check the computer.
was anything recently changed on the car, like sparkplugs etc. this happened to my 2000 saab 9-3 after i put aftermarket spark plugs in, but if none of that just ask autozone to check it for free
You can disconnect the negative cable of the battery for a couple of minutes (but you will lose radio settings and possibly others that the car will relearn), or you can go to an auto parts store such as Advance Auto or Pep Boys and they have a free scanner service to diagnose problems that should be able to reset the light. Mine does.
Your going to have to go back to the dealer and they can look up the code by using the vin number of the car to re-set your radio which has an anti theft system.
Most case they'll do it for free where you bought the car as long as it was a Suziki Dealer.
Good luck and hope this helps.
I've got the same make/model and issue. I've got a mechanic I trust who changed the spark plugs and pc valve (about $200). The problem has persisted and he's telling me we need to change the spark plug wires which I avoided because they were going to cost me $120 @ Autozone. So I knew if I'd ordered through my mechanic or the dealer they would have been twice that not including labor. If it doesn't work...I'll be calling click and clack.
One thing I can say...is that this car is the best example of why you need a trustworthy mechanic. Someone who is willing to try and eliminate an issue one at a time versus what they did to you. I really love my car and have grown to realize the parts are hard to find and rival BMW's in price. Find another mechanic...and if when you buy a part for routine maintenance...buy two.
Yes you are correct. Buy an owner's manual or try and find a used one, I have supplied a web link to a used one on eBay. 2005 Suzuki Verona Owners Manual
