Question about Kenmore 95822 / 95824 / 95829 Electric Kitchen Range
Every F3 fault code I could find for most ranges indicates a oven temperature sensor failure. This would make sense if it only occurs when you are trying to use the oven features of your range. However, I need a model number (located somewhere along the opening of the oven door, or lower drawer) to confirm. Please post back with your model number and make sure you include the first three digits (most Kenmore models numbers will appear like this XXX followed by a period. then the remaining digits XXXXXXXX). I need the first three numbers to determine who the manufacturer is as Kenmore does not make their own appliances.
In the event that I'm right: This is a simple item that can be repaired easily by the average consumer. The oven sensor is mounted along the back wall of the oven in either the upper right or upper left corner. It is mounted with two screws on the oven wall and can be accessed for removal by removing the back panel from the console area. If you take a resistance reading across the leads of the probe, it should read about 1100 ohms at room temperature. Make sure you UNPLUG the appliance BEFORE attempting any measurements or repairs, though.
I hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further questions.
