Waiting on service, but i'm in a real pickle. Yesterday for no apparent reason the machine is jamming with almost every copy in 2 spots. Side door roller & the normal jam area in the front left. Well to add to that, now the machine has mysterious gremlin living inside it. With no one anywhere near the machine the front door opens with force.

Had the same problem spent 2 hours opening and closing everything trying to reset turn off and on etc. Here is how I fixed it, slammed all the doors on left side starting with above cartridge to cartridge door and 2 little doors by paper hard - and I mean hard - and whammo error cleared immediately. Sensors that check for open door obviously stick and report they are open when they are really closed. I am sure this saved me an expensive service call.
Have you tried cleaning the paper feed roller(s)? Either soap & water OR isopropyl alchohol with a cotton ball will do, just make sure the rollers are dry before trying to print again, otherwise damage to imaging unit (drum/toner unit) could occurr. If the printer doesn't feed in the first place, the printer thinks it has a jammed paper, thus opening paper tray and front cover resets misfeed/ jam condition. Let me know your progress....Tim
It means you need to replace the photoconductor kit (the bit the toner fits into)
To reset this error, open the front door then press the cancel button for 3 seconds - all lights will cycle, close the front cover. The counter is now reset
Make sure you can move the print cartridge holder freely and that it isn't being blocked by anything inside the printer, also check if the cleaning station is in the right position, maybe it is locking the cartridges.
hi im jules_09.have you check the inside of the copier?open the front
door then see if there a paper in the transfer the transfer is in front
of you if the door is open.the check the fusing unit many paper jams
happen in the fusing unit.then at the paper tray if you cannot locate
the paper jam inside the machine look at the paper tray from 1 to
3.then at the side most copier have opening at the side look for the
door so you can see if theres any paper stock
First make sure that you do not have the collate and staple option checked on the printer menuing system or in the print setup on one of the local machines printing to it. Ensure that when auto-staple is not used that the error stops manifesting.
Then, I would check to make sure that you are installing the correct staples, length and width for the model.
