The headseat had been working perfectly. One night after charging it, I unplugged it and the blue light came on. I tried pressing MFB for three seconds but nothing happened. I tried detecting it with my phone and nothing happened. Now the blue light simply stays on until the battery dies. Nothing seems to work.

I have the exact same problem with my Motorola H710 Bluetooth Headset. When I charge the headset a green light is displayed. After the charge is complete I unplug the headset and NO light is displayed. I flip open the boom and NO light is displayed. I hold the call button for 10 secs or 10 mins or 10 hours and NO light is displayed. There is suppose to be a blue light displayed to indicate that the headset is ON. Since there is NO light displaying that means the headset is OFF. So my headset DOES NOT TURN ON! I did my research no where online can anyone give a solution. All the above solutions given does not help because the blue light DOES NOT turn on. No user guide or customer service rep or tech support can help that is what I found out. So I guess I will toss my headset in the garbage!
Unplug the AC power from the Plantronics 500A base, leave it unplugged
at least overnight if possible, no lights should be illuminated on the
base. Then plug the power back in, charge the headset, and try
the headset to the Plantronics 500A base unit. Here is the
link for the pairing instructions:
try restoring the headseat to manufacturer sefault settings. To do this you must turn it off for 10 seconds, then turn it on(let it power up) and hold both the volume buttons down while also holding the call button for 10 seconds. Should enter pair mode then =D
Plug the Motorola charger into the end of the headset. The blue indicator light turns on when the battery is charging. It may take up to 1 minute for the light to turn on. When the headset's battery is fully charged (about 2 hours), the blue indicator light turns off. 1 With the headset power off, press and hold the Call button for 6 to 10 seconds until the blue indicator light turns on and remains steadily lit. Note: The blue light will flash as you press and hold the Call button. Continue holding down the Call button until the blue light is steadily lit. Note: If you let go of the Call button before the blue light is on and steady, ensure that your headset is off before trying again.
Unplug the unit, then take the ear piece and slide the battery off .... When you have the battery detached from the ear piece, wipe off the metal prongs, leave it off for a few minutes, then put back together. Make sure you plug the unit back in. It will take a couple hours for the unit to be charged. That should take care of the issue.
i opened it,the upper part does not detach completely but slides, the blue light turned off finally but then on pressing the button nothing happened. Now i'm charging the battery and the blue light is on as usual so i hope it's just out of energy and it will work again when recharge will be finished:)
YOu will have to put the headset in pairing mode by keeping the power button pressed till the light becomes solid blue instead of blinking. Now switch on the blue tooth of your mobile and try pairing,. it should work. passcode will be 0000
