Question about Nokia 2610 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Headset compatability I am having an issue getting my Nokia 2610 to recognize any headset. I realize that the phone is NOT bluetooth capable, but even corded headsets won't work. I took the phone to an AT&T dealer to see if I was missing something in the phone set-up or if I needed a Nokia brand headset. We tried several and keep getting the error message "Enhancement not supported" when any headset is plugged in. I have tried this on several different Nokia 2610's - all with the same result. Somebody help please!!

some units cannot handle blue tooth. Check to make sure yours is blue tooth capable. If it is, check your settings both security and blue tooth to ensure there is no conflict. Also check the headset for compatability ratings. Sometimes that is why there is interference.

It is very posible that it is not connecting, reason being: compatibility. U should get a bluetooth headset that is compatible to both ur phones n pair it, that should solve ur problem. For example I can use any of BH320, BH200, BH600 on my Nokia 6120c n other bluetooth headsets I tried wont b accepted. U can try them n c. Good luck.

How to connect the plantronics explorer 233 ?

  • Make sure your Plantronics Explorer headset is fully charged and turned off.

  • Press and hold the call control button (the button on the face of the headset opposite the earbud) for six seconds. When the light begins flashing blue and red, the headset is now ready for pairing with your phone.

Select the Menu on your cell phone. Once the menu is displayed, select Settings, then Bluetooth Menu.

  • Select the option to add a new device. This will both turn on Bluetooth capabilities in your phone and put it into a setting known as "Discovery mode." The phone should discover your Plantronics headset automatically and display "XXXPlantronics." ("XXX" represents the model series number, such as "320Plantronics.")

  • Select the Plantronics option on your phone. In many cases, the phone will automatically recognize the headset, but if you are prompted to enter a passkey, proceed to the next step.

  • Enter "0000" if you are prompted for a passkey. Your headset will flash blue once it is successfully paired with your phone. Once paired, the Bluetooth headset will automatically recognize your cell phone each time it is turned on

I have bought a bluetooth headset but I have no idea how to connect it to my phone (Nokia 6131). The make is Bluenext Bluetooth Wireless Headset HH-006. The only thing I can find on my nokia is 'Search for...

Press the MFB button on the bluetooth headset for about 8 seconds until the blue and red light flash together.
Please note, after pressing MFB button for about 5 seconds, the blue light flashes. Do not release the button and keep pressing until the blue and
red light flash together, which indicates that the headset is now in paring mode.

You will then do the search from your headset. You may be prompted for a passkey, it should be 0000

For the manual to your headset go to http://res.bluenext.co.uk/download/HH006.pdf
