Question about GE PSI23MGN Side by Side Refrigerator
My model has a hard plastic coolant unit behind the vegetable and meat bins. Water circualtes through this unit. Water has been dripping down into the lowest drawer and causing an unsanitary mess.
I think I have traced the problem to a seam in the coolant unit. I applied a PC-Plumbing compound to the entire seal. This product has to be kneaded to mix and will only adhere to this plastic if the plastic is damp. I am waiting for this to cure before I know if it is fixed. Fortunately the coolant unit is not visible so the compound is not showing.
If that doesn't work go to an appliance repair parts store or HD buy about 10 ft of plastic tubing coil up and use it to replace the tank. Alot of the newer models use this instead of a tank.
