Configuring keyboard hot buttons

I am attempting to configure my compaq hot buttons. The information I get to activate these buttons is to click on "Hardware and Sounds" in the control panel however I have an windows xp system that doesnt have Hardware and sounds listed what do I do to activate these buttons on my keyboard

- No I dont Coldcut which makes me think that I cannot activate the buttons. Thanks for responding though.

Have you loaded the drivers for this particular keyboard.
each keyboard with hot keys has to have its own drivers
