Question about Rosewill R900J 19" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Dell flat monitor E197FPf

I start my computer and turn it on, and everything looks fine for about 1/4 second and then it goes black while leaving the power light green. I can only see the screen again after turning it off and on, but that's only for another 1/4 second. I try this with another computer. I had the same problem. I was checking the monitor using a strong light and shine it into the LCD. I can see the icons, window image etc. I was trying to us factory reset but it doesn't work. I removed the plastic covered both front and back. Here is my inverter board. How can I check which component would be the problem.

I have checked all 4 CCFL and found that all of them are becoming dark at both ends and one of them was broken into 2 pieces. I don't know what would cause these. I think, I'm going buy 4 new bulbs but I cannot find the bulb's part number or any label on it.

I just changed a pair of lamp. It costs about $20 for my 19' flat screen. It works great. Thank you for every advice.

This model has 4 CCFl's and one of these bad will cause the inverter output to drop off.. (Safety feature).. easiest way to check is by process of elimination plugging a good CCFL from a laptop screen or similar inplace of the 4 to find the one dropping out. If all check good Check the Caps as these like to fail as well. Good luck!

Measure the length and get these from moniserv.com (Just be close on diameter)... Sounds like you found the problem. Good luck!

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.

AOC LM725 Monitor Problem

Change the monitor and check if the PC works. If it works then the problem is with the monitor, you will have to send it to repair. If not then, the problem should be with the power supply, check whether all the cables is kept intact.

Beautiful screen, lasts about for a few minutes, goes black. Power button still green. If I turn it off, and then back on, it works again for a while. Any ideas?

I got my rosewill flatscreen as a hand me down from my father. I've had it for several years now. Was working fine until a month ago. When I turn the computer on the screen goes black after 1/4 of a saecond. I have to turn it off and on anywhere from 10 to 20 times before it stays on. I have checked all plugs to the computer and outlets. I have absolutely no idea whats causing this.

Dell 1704 FPTt monitor goes black after about 20 min

Go to Start, Control Panel, Power Options and change your monitor setting to never turn off. If you do leave your monitor on all the time then you should set up a screen saver.
