Question about Acer AL1716 F Monitor

1 Answer

Screen problems When I turn on the PC the monitor has these light parts around the borders. It's like a bow from corner to corner all the way around. It's there when I watch a movie and when I play games that don't take up the whole screen. It is there when I have the screen filled but it's not as prominent. Is this normal for a LCD.. This is my first one.

Had the same problem! Solve it: go to the AMD catalist and choose advanced look. then inside the digital display setting you'll see scalling option that will show 10% . Set it to 0%. Done!overscan.png

Had the same problem too... It's because it's set to underscan. To remove the black border, right click desktop and click Catalyst Control Center. Click the Graphics tab on the upper left portion of the Catalyst and choose desktop and displays. Right click the picture of the monitor at the lower part of the screen and choose Configure. At that screen, Click the 'Scaling Options' tab and move the slider all the way right to Overscan.

Try connecting your monitor with another PC and check if the problem is with your Monitor or is it the Video Card of your PC which is not sending Video Signals to your Monitor.
