Bower ST600 Tripod

My tripod, which is used to support a plien aire artist box, has failed.  Specifically, the plastic surrounding the part that joins the box to the tripod has succumbed to plastic fatigue.  Is there a way to purchase another part?  Thanks.  Please reply to peter@theconchpearl.com.  My name is Jo-Ann Bradley.

Purchased this Tripod 2nd hand and there is no quick release plate. Anyone know where I can get a spare?

A search on Ebay may be fruitful, or failing that your local friendly camera dealer may have a 'box of bits' containing what you seek, or a reasonable alternative.

Need the plastic foot on the tripod leg.

Try going to the Meade website home page, find your Tripod parts section and see if you can order a rplacement foot for it. It should be fairly cheap.
or try this link:

I carefully used a needle nose lock pliers on the plastic part with channel locks on tripod leg and was able to loosen the part.

Screwing camera onto tripod quick release

Usually the camcorder has a hole next to the mounting screwhole. The plastic nub fit into the unthreaded hole, the mounting screw screws into the threaded hole. The nub is to help prevent the camcorder from rotating while you are using it on the tripod.

Quantaray tripods are manufactured by Ritz camera. The factory and service location is in India. Here is the number to contact the service department. I am not sure if they offer parts or if you would need to send to them.
